Love this! My older cat was getting very matted on her back and hind end. I did some research and learned that older cats aren't as flexible and can't clean themselves as well so undercoat builds up and gets matted. This easily removed the undercoat that was getting matted - in a few really matted places it took a couple session to loosen the mats - but within days she was beautiful and fluffy again. Now, I use this on her a couple times a week to be able to get her loose hair out and keep the shedding down. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!

This does a great job of stripping huge wads of hair from my older long haired cat who is not doing such a great job of grooming herself. Literally gets a whole cat's worth of undercoat out without causing any pain or distress. It makes a huge mess, but I clean it up and the cat feels better and less hair ends up in all the random places it would fall out in the house. This is a plus in my book. I also have a fulminator which I like, but this seems to get our more undercoat and be more preferable to my sensitive old cat.

I bought this as Christmas gifts for family pets. I tried rakes, combs, and expensive tools, but they just seemed to bunch up the cat's fur and make the matting worse. And the cat hated them all. I finally cut out the matting and tried this - our little girl tolerated the combing a week or so before she realized her fur was smooth, and all the tangles were gone. After another week she decided she liked it. Now, the cat wants to be combed every day - it takes just a few minutes and her fur is in great shape. So this comb will be the pet gift for my friends this year.

I have a longhair Maine Coon and he gets chunks of mats in his fur. I have tried several brushes and methods to get them out only having to use and electric shaver to remove them. I got this brush as my last resort before I was going to take him to the vet to be shaved because his whole backside was covered (I brush him 2-3x a day too). Wow, MIRACLE! I brushed him already 4-5x with it since I got it 5 hours ago and I swear I got 2lbs of fur off and the mats are starting to loosen or have come out. The brush has 2 sides with one more wide toothed and the other thin for those stubborn tangles. This brush is my new favorite thing! I have a short hair cat as well and you absolutely cannot use on short hair. I didn't try but it looks impossible bc of the size of the bristles. Fantastic product and great price! Life saver!

My seventeen year old cat doesn't seem interested in grooming himself anymore. He is a long-haired Ragdoll cat who always had a beautiful white and gray coat. It became very matted and clumps of his hair stuck up all over. My regular cat-combs or brushes either didn't remove the matts or they pulled his hair too much, making him hiss and try to bite. This knots remover comb was very effective and pulled out clumps of matted hair without seeming to hurt my cat. Now that I have removed most of the matts, it is easy to keep up his appearance with just an occasional quick comb-through

Love this. My yorkie was really matted and I didn't want to have to pay so much at the groomer and he hadn't ever been there yet. So I rather do it myself then him being nervous at the groomers. I tried a slicker brush but that can hurt sometimes if they have a lot of knots. But I love this. It isn't sharp at all which is what I was worried about. I can easily touch it and it cuts right through the knots. If your dog is very matted you will have to be patient but this is the best and fastest easy to get rid of the knots without shaving them.

This brush is amazing. We've been brushing our cat for years with a more typical pet brush, and we thought it was doing a good job at removing fur. But this thing just rakes the fur off him. We've actually had to limit our use of it, because it seems to take off "too much" fur if we use it daily for a week or more. Not that it hurts the cat - he doesn't react any differently than with his normal brush. But wow, this thing is great at removing thick fur and clumps.

OH MY GOD this comb is great! Have a golden retriever mix and the other combs that seem to work was this metal comb thing like the FURminator and a shedding rake. Well the shedding rake is painful for a dog and for that matter so is the other type. The blade scraps against their skin and hurts when it hits boney areas. This comb because of the curl doesn't bother my dog yet gets the deep hair out. After he is combed soft as silk .

This comb gently removes the thick undercoat from my Maine Coon cat. He does not object to being "brushed" by it and I have gotten several small to medium size matts out of his hair. The big ones of course have to be cut, but once they are out, I think a thrice weekly brushing will keep his coat matt-free. I certainly will be recommending this comb to my friends who have long haired cats.

This knot remover comb is a lifesaver! I bought this to see if it would make a difference for my two long-haired cats, a Persian and a Maine Coon. You'll still need to cut out bigger mats, but this comb helps bring out mats early-on before they become bigger problems. The cats are happier without their fur being tangled, and I'm happier feeling a healthy difference in their soft coats!

I have a 116lb St. Bernard puppy that loves to be groomed daily. The grooming tool I was using got a fair amount of fur off. The comb arrived yesterday and even though I had groomed him earlier I had a mountain of fur within the first 10 minutes of grooming. Really impressive.
